Wanted: TiVo Referrals

Anyone think they’ll be getting a TiVo this season? Anytime?

If so, your referral would be appreciated.

Referral email address: [email=“pumicet@pumicet.com”]pumicet@pumicet.com

If you’ve gotten a TiVo in the past 2 months, I can still get credit for your referral. PM me for details.

What’s in it for you? Ummm… My thanks? :gotme:

Thanks!!

whats in it for you? just wondering…

Depends how many referrals I get.

Each referral is 5,000 points. 20,000 (4 referrals) = 40 hr. TiVo. Tempting, but you can get one of those for $49 now. What’s more appealing to me is… 35,000 points (7 referrals) = lifetime TiVo service. I have 5,000 points so far. I’d gladly buy a $49 TiVo if I had free lifetime service in the pipeline.

I’ve had my 40-Hour Series 2 TiVo for about 2 years now. I love the friggin’ thing!! They’re now giving 3 free months of service AND $150 rebate. Pretty good deal. Say goodbye to VHS.

Is the 40 hour one adequate? I mean, do you really need more hours? I want one, but I don’t think I could cough up $12.95 a month to pay for the service. I’d rather just get a card for my computer and record to my hard drive for that amount of money.

What TiVo does compared to a computer setup is hard to explain, but it’s worth it to go with TiVo. Its ability to set up season passes, recording based on key words, and suggested programs is awesome. Setting up recordings from any internet connected computer is nice, too. So, if I’m at work and someone is like “you should watch that show, it’s good.” I can go onto TiVo.com and schedule my TiVo to record it.

40 hours has always been plenty for me. I can only watch so much TV per night anyway. Now that you can dump programs to your computer, you can easily set up your computer to store tons of shows. There are even some 3rd party applications that will automatically grab your programs and put them on your computer, freeing up space on your TiVo.

The lifetime service is about the same as 20 months of service. The unit will last far beyond 20 months, so it’s a no-brainer, get the lifetime.

if for some reason i buy one, youll get my referral…
