I had my shit robbed 2x in my life…both times in Amherst. Parents must have not given them enough allowance lol
Anyhow shit happens no matter where you live and it is the worst. As mentioned the feeling of being invaded is hard to deal with. Trying to understand the type of people that can do this without remorse is another issue I struggle with. In the end possessions are simply that and can be replaced. Glad everyone is ok and as I already talked to you today Jeff but LMK if you need anything.

Sorry to hear… Seems like this has been happening all over as of recent – Some people cleared out alot of houses/cars in the Audubon area, lots of open garages taken advantage of. Mostly stupid/preventable problems (for suburbanites, at least). I hope they don’t come back, stay safe!

Sucks I know a year ago some one tried to steal a car in out of my drive way. my neighbor came over asked why my car was in the road at 6am(motor was blown they didnt make it far). but I installed motion lights around the house. and now make sure everything is always locked up.

Same thing happened to a good friend of mine on Richmond about a week ago. Got him for a 54" tv, PS3, and ipod. Who the fuck gets out the front door with a 54" and no one notices?
Easy to carry, easy to sell. Why not? One of the easiest things out there. Pop out the sim, do a factory reset and you’re usually good to go.

People who say you should clean guns on your porch don’t know what they are talking about, it just makes you feel better. Most burglaries are smash and grabs where people are randomly hitting houses. You can do things to make your house less attractive, like leaving lights on outside, not leaving your TVs in front of windows without blinds, etc. Its usually not your neighbor who sits across the street and watches you that comes and breaks down your door, its usually some random guy that can’t remember what he had for lunch, much less what you were doing a week ago.
I have strikemasters on my solid core exterior doors and extra long screws going in the hinges on the otherside but if someone wants in, they’ll get in. Most times if some one comes up, gives a few kicks and can’t get in, they’ll just go to the next house. Have an alarm to scare people off once they’re in so they don’t make it all the way upstairs where my wife is sleeping before they get shooed off.
I’d gladly give them my computers and TVs to leave the family safe, stuff can be replaced.
Its a shitty feeling having a break-in, hope you guys can get back to feeling safe again quickly.
Cops also like when people have guns, they’re usually the first thing stolen since most people leave them in the same exact place. Either near the nightstand/bed or in the closet on a shelf.

There was a case around here a little while ago. I met a guy that was in his back yard that had an alley behind it doing some work. Two guys pulled up in a car they had just stolen, smacked him on the back of the head with the gun, then made him, his wife and their daughter lay on the kitchen floor while they loaded his car up with their TVs. When the thugs went out the back door with the TVs in hand, the family ran out the front door to the neighbors. That would scare the shit out of me, not much you can do about it either unless we have some members of seal team 6 on here I didn’t know about.
They also hit my friend’s neighbor’s house on Beard. Cut the screen enough to open it, cleaned out the electronics on the first floor.
They have 2 dogs that bark at absolutely everything, and they never made a peep that night.
Man, Beard is such a nice street too.
I hope these guys catch a bullet to the head from a homeowner protecting their shit.
