Weather 518

I’ll probably slam back some beer depending on where we go, so if anything I’ll be the one holding everyone else up. :rofl

When I went to Gore with a bunch of friends last year, a kid from my school talked me into trying the Gore Mtn Brown Ale. I hadn’t drank in a few weeks, so after 4 or 5 pints I was finished :rofl So fun. I didn’t hit any terrain features though, just cruised. Don’t need to be breaking a neck while I’m out having a good time.

nahh i can only bomb down the hill a few times, then i like to carve back and forth and find some little side trails!

:rofl I’m fine with that.

i like venturing into the woods/side trails and finding natural formed jumps to air off of. and yetti will let everyone know that watching me in a terrain park is good fun, cause i always end up smashing my head against the side of the mountain.

lmao, i love going into the woods look for the natural jumps, those are so sickkk

:rofl

Let’s get this shit going within the next few weeks. Pre-season ski/ride event ftw

for sure, we gotta figure something out, my car can fit 3 or 4 with room for skis ( if i remember correctly)

Do you run a different wheel/tire setup for the winter?

I have one season left in my Blizzaks. They’re ALMOST down to 50% which is right about where the super traction layer wears off.

i have a 1999 pontiac grand prix! take the accord off the road for the winter

:rofl perfect!

i need some help getting my sentra back running…lol…i got almost brand new snows for it. but my roof rack is only for 2 boards cause its from my mr2

Maple Ski Ridge is open… :rofl

wtf…how are they one of the first mountains to open…i’ve also have never been there.

fuckin score, I should head over there for lunch

Edit: no its not open, their website is only half-ass updated. It says trail conditions for Nov 5th but everything else references spring or March…

I can fit myself and one other totally down for a shift ski event. We should make an event thread and call it something along the lines of Gravity Shift.

Soon.

I think I’m going to get new bindings today and put the old ones back on the Blizzards. The Chronics I bought last year are definitely a fun ski, but are a PITA to float with in deep powder.

I’m on some atomic janak tele skis and they are 100mm under foot (about as wide as a cd) and float like wild. And tear through other ugly snow condnditions.

Sweet, sounds like a solid setup. I’m not sure how I’d like the telemark setup myself, though.

For this ski trip: how many of you would be down for an overnight event? Ski whiteface or somewhere obviously during the day, and then get a hotel and stay in placid and visit the local bars and what not at night.

Just an idea.

id be down to do that knowing that nobody like to fondle with balls or rubber cheerios

Word. I’m going to start saving for this now.
