I’ll probably slam back some beer depending on where we go, so if anything I’ll be the one holding everyone else up. :rofl
When I went to Gore with a bunch of friends last year, a kid from my school talked me into trying the Gore Mtn Brown Ale. I hadn’t drank in a few weeks, so after 4 or 5 pints I was finished :rofl So fun. I didn’t hit any terrain features though, just cruised. Don’t need to be breaking a neck while I’m out having a good time.
i like venturing into the woods/side trails and finding natural formed jumps to air off of. and yetti will let everyone know that watching me in a terrain park is good fun, cause i always end up smashing my head against the side of the mountain.
I can fit myself and one other totally down for a shift ski event. We should make an event thread and call it something along the lines of Gravity Shift.
I think I’m going to get new bindings today and put the old ones back on the Blizzards. The Chronics I bought last year are definitely a fun ski, but are a PITA to float with in deep powder.
I’m on some atomic janak tele skis and they are 100mm under foot (about as wide as a cd) and float like wild. And tear through other ugly snow condnditions.
Sweet, sounds like a solid setup. I’m not sure how I’d like the telemark setup myself, though.
For this ski trip: how many of you would be down for an overnight event? Ski whiteface or somewhere obviously during the day, and then get a hotel and stay in placid and visit the local bars and what not at night.
