Weird stalling problem...

Hey everyone…
This is very similar to the ‘rpm dipping’ problem but i think it could be something else.

Car: 90’ 240sx SOHC. Has gas. Has voltage.

Heres the issue: Turn the key, start it, sounds like it started for half a second than dies, i tried priming by holding the gas while starting, no difference, still, the crank turns, i hear it run a couple of rounds and it just dies, doesnt respond to throttle.

doesnt do this all the time, randomly when i try to start the engine this happenes

my solution was press the gas all the way in neutral, turn the key and hold it, after around 3-4 seconds it starts to rev up cause im holding the gas and once the rpm goes up i let off the gas a try to keep it at 2000 until i can release safely, still dips 900-500 though :S

anyone any ideas ? thanks…

Give me more Techincal Info like When you last changed Ignition parts such as coil,
spark plugs, dizzy, cap, rotor, also things like how many KM on the motor could
be clogged Injectors, Bad Temp Sensor, Bad Fuel Pump, Bad Fuel Filter Etc…

Lot’s of possibilies dude…

Please list everything possible so we can further help you.

Also when did this start happening?

Did you change or modify anything before or after this started to happen?

replaced injectors recently so its not that, new plugs, revently did ignition timing, around 220kkm on the rest of the motor…

How the fuel pressure? Get a fuel pressure gauge and check the pressure when it’s doing this. Just hook it up leave it and when it starts happening have someone look at the guage. I used to have this problem it was my pump.

ok i’ll try it, if it is, should i get a walbro 255lph fuel pump ? theyr pretty cheap on ebay, would it work with the sohc ?

yes.

had the same problem before and it was my fuel pump. try hitting the sending unit and start the car at the same time. if it makes it better then its your fuel pump

Double-check your injectors’ electrical connections, as per FSM.
