i actually like this a lot. Did you buy this at an auction? If so, was it pricey?

lol,I googled it to see if it had anything decent under the hood and one of your posts came up on impala forums.

Looks like a decent DD,probably not something i’d mod though.

you sure do love Police cars.

sweeeet. price n miles? Do they hold up as well as their older (and bigger) counterparts?

The supercharged 3800 is a beast. Not sure about the rest of the car and how it handles, but I know the gtp can go pretty fast, cheap!

does it have a SC or is it just a regular series 3 3800? need moar info

It doesnt say supercharged but idk

Oh, I’m dumb, I thought it said supercharged on the engine cover, but it doesn’t.

Nah thats a N/A 3800 motor.

Great motor, can’t hurt that thing.

I always wondered about those things, do the automatic transaxles hold up at all?

Nice cop car, much better than those shitty dodge intrepids…

these dont have as much siqness as the older models

awesome, another douchebag I have to slow down for because I think he’s an undercover cop. have you ever seen how a cop drives? I’d never buy a cop car…

besides all of that tho nice buy

child molesters drive ex cop cars btw… j/k

FWD excopcar = fail. plenty of RWD ones out there, all I see is a more beat impala.

Yes, but there is a more capable and durable option:

lulz

lol

Thanks guys,

Yeah its the 3800 Series II V6.200hp,225tq.

The car has 104K miles on it.Runs and drives great, smooth, quiet, ect…

I was mainly just looking for something different for a change. Also i wanted something more practical.I have had plenty of Crown Vics and Caprices over the years.

The only mod i added so far is the K&N CAI.I do plan on adding a lower temp thermostat,PCM reprogram, and maybe a HVIII intake insert.

These 9C1 Impala’s are beefed up quite well. They have everything you would expect a Cop car to have.Later i will try and find the specs and post them up.

No i got it from a private seller in PA near the Maryland border.

Naa not to pricey, although i did pay top dollar for it IMO.The guy did not budge on his price at all.

So far from what i have gatherd they do hold up very well.Being a '04 model most if not all of the bugs were worked out.

I believe the tranny was replaced @ around 80K miles.GM has never really been known for having strong transmissions.I plan on keeping this car maintained to the fullest.I am also very anal with my cars and i don’t beat the hell out of them so that helps lol.I figured the Cops beat on them enough.

I payed $4,600 for the car. However at least i know what i was getting. When you buy ex-police cars from a auction you never really know what your getting and what problems the car may have. The only real good thing about getting these cars from auction is they normaly go for dirt cheap…

GM has never really been known for having strong transmissions

Thats dodge your thinking of

GM has exceptional transmissions, especially the allison.
