HAHAHA So I actually went to the Trooper station on Main St. in Clarence on lunch. A trooper pulled in right after I did, which I proceeded to ask him to hold up a second. (not in some punk ass manor) lol
So I asked him if the Forester which I was in at the time, was legal to tint all the windows but the front doors and windshield.
He said no.
I questioned him saying that its listed as a suburban, meaning SUV.
He proceeded to make it sound that no tints were legal to have, suv/van/car at all.
I told him that the law stated other wise.
He said 9 out of 10 times, you wont get pulled over.
Guessing hes one of the 9 not giving a shit and actually focusing on more important things that tints. (also didnt know the law on them)
Also, if you’re black, scream racism when the Amherst cop pulls you over with your limo tinted windows. Even if he’s cool and tells you to remove the tint because he’s just going to pull you over again and again, and next time you won’t be let off with just a warning. /Coworker rant
Did all the tints on the car besides the visor and the rear windshield. Had issues with the back so I took it to Eclipse on lunch and had them do that and the visor, just wish the visor wasnt so large and ricer like. Still all turned out good.
The backs are dark, so its causing the fronts to look darker when the angle is how you see it. If I get shit for the fronts, I’ll just remove them right away. Not a big problem… just came with the kit that we installed.
Bumping this up, but how did eclipse do on the tints? I’ve had cars done there before and tey turned out well, but it was a few years ago since I’ve been back an I have appointment scheduled tomorrow for 35% around. Most bad reviews of the place tend to be about the owner or his daughter and not the work done so I figured someone whoes gone relatively recently.
Go to the tint thread on here, forgot who it was but he provided the guy that actually does the tinting at Rainbow. You can pay him cheaper to do the work and it will be done the same. lol I only got the visor and back down, which they look good, to low on the visor though. I did get it done in 30degree temps so if any imperfections, thats probably why. I bought a kit from ebay for dirt cheap and did most with a buddy. Its actually pretty easy for the whole care besides the back. If you try to do it yourself, act like you are putting the tint on the back window but do it from the outside with the film still on. It will curve to the window that way then you pull the film and reapply it on the inside.
The lady seems like a bitter person… the guy seems pretty decent.
