Highest grit I found locally is pepboys (1000grit)
Id like to pick up 1500 2000 etc but I couldnt find any local places. Amazon has it but I dont feel like waiting.

Wait a minute, have you tried autozone or HD? I could have sworn I got some 1500/2000 a while back painlessly. I still have some in my garage too…

get 3m at home depot or pepboys.
I know pepboys has 2k-3k and homedepot has upto 1k
Definitly do not use hf sandpaper on a car. Go to an automotive paint supply place and buy quality paper. Carquest probably will even have some.
Yea I looked at Lowes and Depot and the highest they went was 600 grit (i swear ive seen 1000 there)
I called pepboys and the guy told me the highest they have is 1500
