Quality isnt a huge deal. I got a work car and it has an AUX input and would rather use that instead of my FM transmitter to reduce the things I have to use. The standard system isnt that great anyway so I wouldn’t notice anyway.
i have a $10 fm transmitter that i cant really tell the difference in my personal car. i just want a $2 cable that goes from the head phone jack to the aux in on my work car. if i was pushing this through a tuned sound system then yea, i would go full quality on the output. for now tho since its a stock stereo i just want something cheap.
if you just get the cable… you’ll have to adjust the volume on your ipod, then the radio. Then go into the EQ on the ipod and make it flat so that your not running the music through 2 separate EQs (the car’s radio’s eq and the ipod’s eq). Get it wrong and you’ll get tons of distortion / clipping and generally worse sound. You like to turn the music up on a nice day with the windows down? (insert: nod head), well with less distortion you can crank it up more!
the total difference in $$$$ here is one quality beer.
ok, I’m done, I’ll leave you alone to the ignorance is bliss.
