What a difference engine placement and shift programming makes....

I’ve got to say that if you’ve got the bucks and need 4 seats, it’s hard to go wrong with this. Hell of a lot of changes since the last one I drove (an '01). Car is tight, rattle free, strong, sounds fantastic, and the shift programming is really impressive now. Other than wiping out a set of tires in 7k miles, I haven’t had to touch the car, other than for it’s first service.

Can’t really give a direct comparison, since I haven’t driven the recent Vantage. Driven a Vanquish, but that’s a different car completely.
