Thanks for your input guys. It’s already been a month since it happend and i still got nothing from this guy. The day after it happend I did a police report and I didn’t tell the guy because he said he was gonna pay.
I met up with him the next night and he agreed to sign a paper that says he is gonna pay for the damage and he said he was gonna do it in 2 weeks.
Now he it seems to be delaying, saying he lost his job and all so i’m thinking of going to court since I have that paper signed and like 10 witness’s.
forget court, the fees and time you have to put in outweighs the costs.
if you have the police report you call up your insurance company and give it to them
then call up the dude and tell him you have gone through insurance, of course all you have done it called the insurance company.
LOL i had a similar situation happen to me. i was parked in the mcdonalds parking lot at yonge and 16th in the hill and out of nowhere this jackass in a old dodge caravan comes FLYING around the corner out of the drive-thru, (winter time so the lot was kind of slick) i saw him and knew right away he was gonna hit me, luckilly i had a seat belt on still because the car pretty much did a 90 degree turn lol. he took off my whole front bumper, headlights and crap. i was PISSED. didnt go thru insurance as well, for the same reasons. i ended up gettin 5 grand out of him, told him i was going to sue him because my head bashed off the drivers door window (no concussion tho). everything in the very front of the car was mangled (rad, ac condenser, quarter panels). but his van only had a huge chunk out of the bumper. UGH! thankfully there was no cops there at the time, i just called up my friend whose father owns a towing company and he got it outta there within 25 mins and scrapped it.
i told the guy, ok we are going to the bank now. i dont care if u have to take every single cent out of your account, you are paying me, or we are calling the police and going to court. So we walked over to the bank, which conveniently was in the same parking lot lol and he gave me a bank draft for $5000. i totally made that number up out of my head and he went for it. serves him right for being a stupid jack ass. i took that money and bought myself a 2nd gen supra which i planned on doin a 3rd gen 7MGTE swap into. never happened though because i decided to use the money for some vacations. so for getting my front end mangled, i got another car with more power (since i was just driving a 96 cavalier) and a 2 month vacation to holland. i was more than happy haha 
but now im bored with the supra so i sold it off a few months back and im lookin for a 240
Yea act fast. U only got a few days otherwise cops and insurance might not help u out if u did not file a report. Ive used this scam and got out of a accident before 8) Not that im proud but it saved my rear end. Dont let him do that to you! Make sure YOUU write down his insurance numbers nae etc etc. If all u got was his name insurance broker # u call sayin so and so hit u said he’d pay u etc etc…he wont give a sh!t he doesnt wanna help u out. Ive never been threw this but from what ive heard…correct me if im wrong.
