So what would you buy and why? Keep in mind that the car will be driven all year round, and safety is important. Right now we’re leaning towards the Mini.
Honestly. i would not but any one of those. Maintenance on all of them is expensive.
S2000 all year round? i despise Honda so it’s not for feeling bad for it in the snow. yet either way. S2000 is not a comfortable car for every day (imo)
The german cars…expensive to maintain. and buy.
subarus…same shit.
Yet it i ABSOLUTELY HAD to choose one… Legacy GT. Nice cars.
Actually, all of these cars are quite affordable with price ranging from 10-15gs. I get what you’re saying with the maintenance though. Cars with aluminum control arms like the M3 and S4 require the whole control arm to be replaced when a ball joint goes lol. And the damn Audi has 8 ball joints in the front alone! Thats probably why we’re leaning towards the Mini. It will still be fun to drive yet cheaper on maintenance and gas. I really want the M3 though but it doesn’t seem like a practical choice…
your sister really likes the fast and prestigous kind of cars ehh but I know you want some kick too lol
Mini ftw, safety and it’s FWD so it’s more predictable handling + it’s a cute car for a girl but still driveable for a guy.
**if I were to decide, I’d go for a BMW M3 or a Legacy GT…
Yea, she really likes the M3 as well and we’ve already checked out a two of them. Only problem is finding one is decent condition.
The first one we checked out had so many issues: electrical problems, obviously been in an accident and repaired etc.
The second one we checked was better but the shifter bushings were done, rear defrost didn’t work, and it was a base model (no sport seats, manual adjustment on the seats etc.)
The handling on the M3 is fine since it has traction control. I tested it out and it works amazing. The S2K is probably a no no since it has no electronic aids except ABS which won’t be good for a new driver like my sis.
go with a WRX/Legacy or the Mini Cooper S.
what about a G35 Sedan? they come in RWD/AWD and they are very practical luxury vehicles ;).
98 M3 are very nice car, but you’ll have a hell of a time looking for one that is not already beaten to a pulp.
S2000 is not really a all season vehicle, even with winters.
