what cars compare to 335i

I guess I know 3 people with G8s who never had an issue so IDK

I have to mention it because the price has dropped so much. but the new SHO’s are dipping into th 23-24K range for a 2010. get a tune and run 12’s in complete comfort. It is not a german car by any means but so far they are not showing any reliability issues yet.

I’m strangely interested.

I’ve been looking in the mid 20 range for a replacement for my Mazda 3.
I’ve had shit luck with Audi so it’s not an option.
The 335 fuel pump issues concern me. I just want something that won’t explode.

The new SHO looks like a boat :frowning:

I still +1 the G37

I had no idea these were going for that kind of price, I need to start looking…

+1 on the A5 - you’d probably be a bit short on HP but they’re really nice cars… worth considering IMO.

The only one I drove was the pre production version ford brought to the convention in 09 and it was fantastic. It is huge though. I really wish they would have done that drivetrain in the fusion but it is what it is. If you end up checking one out let me know what you think. If you want to check one out I am sure cal would be more than willing to get you a test drive. He said they just took one in on trade when I was there the other day.

not really a ford fan although that car doesnt seem all that bad… just a bit bigger of a car than id like

Krant is a little crazy sometimes but how would anyone honestly know it’s someones mom?

NYSpeed isn’t really a place for peoples moms…

Regardless of the person behind the name it was just more uncalled for crap that he usually spews and it now has my attention.

Oh I know. Still an odd situation though.

i’m really looking forward to getting into a G37

She’s been on here a while eh? But I agree this isn’t the place for her she’s too nice to be on here. I am going to pick up cookies from her this week since I said something though!

+1 for G8 GT

I have never driven a G8 GT. But the lack of 6-speed would take it off the list for me and I think the GXP models fetch more money.

Funny how I have heard a couple people now cross shopping G8’s and 335’s. With a CPO warranty I find it hard to compare the two. I would be in the BMW all day.
The GXP is a great car, but fit and finish would have to side with the BMW and “status” of a BMW would have to play as well.

What about a CTS-V?

Also, I’ll back up LZ and bing with the G37 since I’m a Nissan/Infiniti humper

The argument to be made to the G8 is the aftermarket, and reliability. The LS engine is pretty well proven at this point

2004 - 2007 CTS-V
No CPO available since it is over 4 years old (maybe buy a car that was CPO previously and has some left)
<60,000 miles: no problem
$25,000 and under: easily done
mid-high 20’s mpg: 26 hwy acheived, mid to high teens city
<1,000 for 350+whp: sure

The guy I sold my old V said his co-worker with a 335 and a “tune” walks him.

2009 cts-v has a while before they are sub $30k with reasonable miles.

Tune is subjective though, I’ve walked a new CTS-V coupe and I have a tune and a little less restrictive plumbing. If you could get into the new Wagon I would love it, short of the horiible gas mileage.

x…

I just don’t get the G37.
It just doesn’t seem that fantastic to me. What am I missing?
