It has to be clearly visable and easily reached. I put the battery in the back for traction purposes. Its sees more street time/action than it does at the strip, so I didnt feel like doing the switch. Oh, and just fyi, you cant “fill” in a polyurethane bumper, wont work.
Like your car had traction issues. Ive seen that fucker hook and didnt think it needed any help.
I didnt mean just body filler on a bumper. Theres ways to fix cracks or holes though. Epoxy, plastic welding, etc.
Im sure theres ways to mount a switch without it looking too shitty. Youre not the first guy with an SN95 drag car.
Maybe a hinged panel that tucks up under the bumper when youre not at the track but stays down when youre at the track? I just throwing out ideas here.
My car doesnt hook good enough. ALWAYS room for more hook!! :lol
sure. Ive seen it more than a few times.
One of these days I need to call about a cam.
I was thinking about mounting a switch through a spare taillight I have and before going to the track switch taillights. That way in a few minutes I can switch back to a regular tail light housing. I would probably use a push/pull style switch and just drill a hole though the taillight for the rod. The actual switch mechanism would be still attached to the battery though.
adam ive got a spare battery we could “mount” for tech purposes and run some phony wires like nintey1 said
I seriously thought about doing that :rofl
LVD tech is a joke so it would probably work, atleast until they checked for a nitrous bottle.
They dont know i have spray on my car, and honestly NO one does unless Ive told them. Joey looked under my hood one day and was like you still have spray on this?? :lol Ima sneeky mofo
itll be on a trailer. remove the battery from the trunk, tuck the cables away, install in the pits… you arent a sneaky person are you paul?
Except he doesnt normally trailer the car (no trailer). Im not really all that sneaky with my car. Theres nothing to hide on it yet. Just a reman 302 with a junk t5.
Somethin is gonna break Sat :lol
i was going to mention that but u just said that, instead of hacking a set of tails, you can make a bracket and mount a switch so its behind your tail light, you get to the track, take your tail light out and the switch is in the little pocket there…ill prob end up doing that if i relocate my batt and drag
rear end
thats actually a really good idea if theres enough room to be able to bolt the light on with the switch in place.
lol, nah, that SHOULD be ok. My car doesnt launch that hard as to break it.
well it was just a guess
If you need a hand wiring up the battery kill, let me know. You have to break the positive battery terminal and the alternator output with the switch.
If they see the N2O in your trunk, they will require a minimum 1-layer nomex jacket and rear “firewall” to separate the trunk from the cabin. I got heat on opening day with an empty bottle in my trunk and no lines connected to it…
c’mon now, its not a Chevy… hes gonna destroy the trans again:shifty
Yeah the bottle will DEF be in the truck for tech-in :lol
