Worked on crating up my LT1 motor from my firebird, got everything built, bagged, and sprayed with oil. Now I gotta get some desiccant packs and I can seal the crate up. Also worked on sorting through parts I’m gonna use during the resurrection vs put into long term storage. Lots going into the storage pile.
All I can say is it feels damn good to be wrenching on her after sitting for almost 7 years, building a project is soooooo much more enjoyable then doing maintenance and repairs on DDs.

Got a seized caliper all torn down for rebuilding on my WRX, oil change on Z06. Much nicer day than I was expecting.
had my left eye wrenched on yesterday. Rust stuck in my cornea, first when to kenmore mercy to have a needle stuck in it, no dice. then went off to an eye surgeon to have it burred out with a small dremel, yay! now im blind.

I tore apart the intake manifold today, I only removed the top half, but upon removing it, I noticed that I had quite the cleaning to do. It was caked with carbon build up everywhere. So I bought three cans of carburetor cleaner and went to town. 2 hours later, I have a nice and squeaky clean upper manifold and a considerably squeaky clean lower manifold. I also polished the inner throttle body. Put it all back together, cranked the car over for a good 3-4 minutes, finally got it started and holy crap! What a difference. The variable idle is gone, it has much less hesitation at low RPMs and doesn’t smell like it’s running rich anymore.
I just need to replace the radiator now and this 99 is going to be running like it was back in 1999…lol.
I pulled a cummins motor and trans out for a rebuild today. easiest diesel to work on in a 3500 series truck hands down lol

Well today I’m finishing my five lug swap and brake upgrade that I started yesterday at 10pm after an hour started raining so I had to call it a day I only go to do rear right side

I didn’t really think of that, but now that you mention of it, it does a bit.
When I get my truck back on Tuesday it’ll have a side exit dual tip exhaust…so it’ll look even more like one lol.
You should get “Ranger” badges that are in the same font style as “Raptor” and put them on the sides!
