I like salem more than keystone. If I actually race, i just run bracket. My car is VERY far from legal for 9.90 index.
I have a 68 nova ss, mini tub 12" hoosier, 468bbc with cheap goodies. I go 10.20’s now on bad slicks. Hollywood Knights are renting end of june, so i’ll have new slicks by then and hopfully will touch 9’s.
I used to race quaker all the time. I think it went down hill. I wen there one time at the begining of the year last year. Track prep was horrible and they did not keep up with it the rest of the day. Every pass 60 kept getting slower and slower. At pittsburgh keith and the guys do a damn good job at keeping it sticky.
I haven’t run the nova at keystone yet. Im so used to salem, that I just delt with the track. I’d like to get to keystone to see if i can get out of my crappy 1.5-1.6 60’s…like you say, the prep isn’t that good… interesting. I mostly leave on a throttle stop too, so its not as violent as the stutter box…and probably would just give me worse 60’s anway.
A friend of my old mans’ has a front engine dragster from the 60’s and he was looking into getting a motor for it. I told him to run an rb26dett. After he was done looking at me funny, he just laughed. Just leave it to our generation to start screwing up history like that!
Please put this motor in a car and bring it down to the dyno so i can see it make 952 all motor horsepower (On pump gas) And i highly doubt it weighs the same as an aluminum 2.0 liter.
Come race me bitch… Until then, shut your fucking mouth.
