as title says…what happened to people being courtious to other drivers and flashing their lights to warn on coming traffic of radar traps. I do it all the time but theres only a select few who do it.
I still see it, not as often though, maybe less ppl paying attention
most of the time people aren’t paying attention.
I think that some people think its illegal to warn other drivers…but there’s nothing illegal about “just checking to see if my highbeams work”

i still do it when i dont have a chance of getting shit for it and the cop is hiding pretty well.
ive heard of someone being pulled over on the 90 by a trooper for it. i guess the cop said he could be fined for obstruction of justice? not really sure how true that is though…
I do believe that technically a cop can write you a ticket for warning traffic of his/her location…of course you can fight it in court if that happened…but I’m assuming the cop would win if
a: you were in a well lit area and really had no reason to be testing or turning on your brights
b: its daytime
and I do this religiously in the town I live in…the cops love to sit in a couple spots…on one side I like to warn people but on the other hand its like “if your speeding here your an idiot, unless you are from out of town”

i remember reading there was a case where the cop gave someone a ticket for warning other drivers of his spot. The drive won because it isnt an obstruction of justice.
And this past summer i had someone in a new gto flash his lights and warn me about cops on the 33.

I try to do it whenever possilbe. and usually get a Tup unless its a housewife(soccermom) on her cell phone in her luggury suV… then I get the blank wtf stare.

Soccer moms dont care about speed traps… because 99.99999% of the time
a car seat and gratuitus display of crying to cop will result in a warning. from what ive heard.
