What happens when you put Jet fuel in your car?

It seems that there was a mix up on what fuel to off load into the gas stations tanks. Instead of normal fuel we use every day for our cars, they put Jet fuel in the Gas Stations tanks which then went obviously into the cars.

What exactly would this cause to a vehicle? I wonder who is going to pick up the repair bills on this, I’m assuming the Gas company and not the station due to sending the wrong fuel or putting it in a wrong storage tank.

Jet fuel is basically diesel.

Yeah, I’m thinking they’ll just have to drain the tanks, refill with gas and purge the fuel in the lines. PITA, but I don’t think there would be any permanent damage.

I’m sure someone will sue wanting a brand new car because their 1986 Cavelier was irreparably damaged though.

You know its going to be the one with the cheapest car doing it.

You fucker, first thing I thought of

.

Jet A is just specially refined Kerosene, but close enough.

JP7 is another story all together though.

Everyone always has a “buddy” who put JET FUEL in his mustang and blew the doors off a funnycar.

Trying to come up with witty/smart-ass response to blowing doors off a car with no doors… but failing epically LOL

av gas is different than jet fuel also

First time I saw that family guy jet truck skit on TV I pissed myself. If jet fuel is cheaper I may start running it in my truck.

just wondering if you really think anything aviation related is going to be cheap

Sincerely hoping you’re using your sarcasm / humor keyboard.
