okay what is this all about? i bought my s13 a few weeks ago, and it has an sr swap done. the pervious owner bought the car as it is now, and wouldn’t be much help. it has a very short throw distance and i find that it is fairly diffucalt to shift, but seems to work pretty good.i am pretty sure that it is more or less home made, they used metal scouring pads to go around the shifter inside the tranny to stop the oil from escaping. now the tranny seems to run pretty hot, not sure cause it is the sr or what not, but there was insluation wraped around the shifter under the boot, going to guess to stop some of the heat. if anybody know, or might know how to lead me in the right direction that would be great. i would just love to know what i have got going on here. thanks
now thats custom
so really no one has any idea on what is going on with this shifter?
can you provide pics past the pivot point?
OMG… whats the f… Is going on there… …
UGHHHHHH looks to me that they installed some sorta weird trans thats too Short… and had to rig somthing up to the actual shit point…
Or HAHA they converted a 240 to FWD… lol…
Where the hell did you buy that…
^You sure it wasn’t from you? Reminds me of the hackjob you did on the Talon I bought from you. That had to be re-done as well, since the cabling was rubbing against a metal plate.
Get rid of it and get a B&M short shifter. They are AWESOME.
yeah i picked up the car off of an older guy who traded his bike for the car. it seems to work pretty well, so don’t know if i will get rid of it quite yet. and yeah i took it off the tranny, and the past the pivot point is the same as anyother shifter. so, not to sure whats going on with it
JDM Yo!
doesn’t the smell of gear oil just make you want to puke?
