Hey I was just wondering what type of oil everyone puts in their car cause I’am about to do the first oil change in my car since i bought it and was wondering which oil you guys think would be a good choice for me?

is your motor stock? and have high kms? if so just use normal castrol gtx.
really no point in spending crazy money on motor oil on a stock car.
but if you have a pretty hefty turbocharger on the motor, try motul, greddy (yes greddy makes motor oil)

I used mobil-1 on my KA. Buy in bulk and it’ll save you lots of cash! Canadian Tire had cases (6 1L bottles) of 5w30 and 10w30 on sale for $29.99, I stocked up needless to say.
i use motul 300v good for up to 15,000kms
i would buy mobil 1 for the ka … but its almost 10/litre… is that sale still on?

Castrol GTX High Mileage 10w-30
Running 15w50 mobil 1 right now but next oil change im switching to valvoline durablend as I recently found out mobil 1 is shit and the durablend is pretty much the only other oil on par with royal purple but for far less $$$
But I guess if you love your engine then $$$ aside… .you’d run Royal Purple anyway.
valvoline is shit , doesnt even meet any european automakers standards, only Ameriacan made oil that does is Mobil 1, sure ams oil is good , but its not elf , Jedi, racing autocross u should know who the kind of the oil feild is… ELF oils kids , blows absolutely everyone out of the running , Even the Mobil sponsored F1 teams run it in thier cars , the just dont advertise it … oh well what do i know

u can if u want , u dont really need anything other than a good 5w30
stock Ka…castrol GTX 5w30…cheap are sufficient enough…change it more often than if you were using synthetic.
I’ve been running Redline 10W-30 since the SR swap, and no complaints at all. Motor runs smoothly, and I also have MT90 running in the trans. Great oil products by Redline, but I’ve been meaning to give Royal Purple a shot with all the hype and reviews it gets.

I just want to run 10w 30 because i got 2 full containers in my garage lol so i would like to use them, my cars a stock ka 155km with minor bolt ons.

I wonder whats up with royal purple, i heard different things (its also cheaper in price than redline).
There’s a temperature effeciency range for each oil weight, it’s in your 240sx owners manual. In the extreme cold 10w30 isn’t recommended however for the summer it’s fine.
How much is royal purple going for, for like a 4 litre container or whatever?
