What would you include v. Tour of Buffalo (now beer tour as well)

Roll through the East Side, so they feel at home.

Yeah, the zoo itself is pretty shitty a lot of times, but the rain forest makes it worth the low cost of admission.

That is so funny because I was going to suggest the fruit belt because they would appreciate that. lmao.

If you’re trying to show off Buffalo why are you taking them to Clifton Hill?

Go down to Elmwood for dinner/drinks, that’s more impressive than anything Detroit has. Only thing they have close I’d say is Royal Oak’s “downtown” strip.

Yeah elmwood has tons of shops and shit…Little pricey but nice to browse.

As for timing, I am putting the v in storage and getting the winter beater so this is the weekend I picked.

I was thinking Old Man River or Mississippi Mudds for the river.

Skip Clifton Hill…it’s an overrated tourist trap. Elmwood is much nicer to just hang out and talk over drinks.
And +1 for Ted’s…you can get Loganberry there too

Good point. They wanted to see the falls.
I figured I would give the “The Office tour”
Maybe go to the red coat inn for dinner or at least walk by and then I was thinking drinks at Clifton.

I was thinking going to the art gallery Saturday morning and walking elmwood maybe getting lunch. In the 3 years I have been in Detroit Royal Oak has definitly added a bunch, but still is not an Elmwood.

If you’re going to the Falls I recommend Fortuna’s for Dinner. Good prices, great food and big portions.

If they have some interest, the Frank Lloyd Wright stuff is pretty cool.

Sure you can, all people have suggested is bar junk food. While everyone enjoys a great wing, you can hardly claim that Buffalo is a foodie destination.

How old are your friends and what do they like to do?

How about a wine tour on the Niagara Wine trail or Niagara on the lake?

Take them out downtown for dinner and drinks at one of the nicer restaurants downtown - Chophouse, Tempo, Left Bank, etc…

Lewiston as it is fall. The view from 104 looking down the escarpment when you enter the area is enough to sell anyone I think. There are some nice places to eat in Lewiston etc.

Ellicotville
Erie County Historical Museum
Dinner on the Water root 5 or something.

Group is mid-20’s engineers and financial minds.

Frank Lloyd Wright house is a cool idea, I have never been.

I think we are planning a Ellicotville, ski trip later in winter. (granted I don’t ski)

One of them are closed for the season I believe. The other stays open all year.

Show them our beautiful developed waterfront or signature bridge. I kid.

Check out Buffalo tours and see if there is anything of interest to check out

Besides the Wright house in Buffalo, travel down to Derby and show then Graycliff. It’s amazing. http://graycliff.bfn.org/

Marcella’s

I agree with the others i would do the barbill in ea for beef on weck and elmwood>clifton any day. And jays’s idea of hitting some local parks like chestnut ridge would be cool if you have time.

Buffalo has everything from a quick bite to eat to a nice dinner date. Pizza and Wings that are better than anywhere else, and an abundance of places, prices, and selection that can please anyone. We also hold home to alot of local spots such as Mighty, Ted’s, and La Nova. Not everyone wants to spend 50-60 bucks per person on dinner. Would I come to Buffalo purely based on food no; but to say Buffalo doesn’t have some of the best food on a wide scale of selection is wrong IMO.

dont go all the way to EA for bar bill. if you’re out there already, go for it, but otherwise hit vizzy’s or kellys korner. Wellington pub has great beef on weck/wings/wraps/etc on the cheap too.
