Sounds like you’ve never lived in a city with both good and diverse cuisine. I never said expensive, did I?
Keep taking the ladies to Olive Garden Romeo, they love it.

That made me LOL^
To me that implies a cheap eat.
Yep I live in Buffalo and you’re going completely off topic. When most people come into town, usually they want a casual, quick meal. This would be places like Ted’s, Duffs, or a pizza place, or hell even Olive Garden. While olive garden is a good place to get dinner, it doesn’t compare to the caliber of a Fortuna’s or Sinatra’s. Just because it doesn’t meet your standards, doesn’t mean people don’t like it.
No, it implies that wings, pizza, beef on weck are all examples of junk bar food.

:suicide:
Well where would you take people that are coming to buffalo?
They are coming from Detroit. Show them some functional businesses and homes that haven’t been foreclosed on and call it a day. You could also throw in a Bills game so they can see a professional team with more than 1 win in two years.
wow… talk about the pot calling the kettle black
All the parks near Elmwood/Delaware, Museum of History, and Gin Gin…
Chippewa @ 4am
Or they could show you what the Cup looks like?
Look defensive Dan, I didn’t say Buffalo was devoid of good food, I just said that this was an ignorant statement:
One thing you can’t Sass buffalo for is the selection and quality of food
It can be sassed all anyone wants unless they lived most of their lives in middle of nowhere Montana…
Ok now time to ask where would you take people for a beer tour.
I don’t drink beer but I know the Buffalo Brew Pub and Ellicottville Brewing Company usually get some love.
Granted driving to Ellicottville is probably off the list.
You could ask the Flying Bison guys for a tour…Small place but cool guys.
x2
A beer tour in Buffalo? Bison would be your nest bet as for local brewing. If you’re looking to go grab great beer at a bar/restaraunt…there’s definitely a handful of options:
*Coles on Elmwood
*Hardware on Allen (Thursday for Blue Grass music is a great time)
*Sterling Tavern on Hertel
*Tantalus in EA after Barbill wings…then drive by FP and say, “Hey, there’s FP.”
Those are my go-to’s for beer…but I know there are a few more out there. If down in the Eville area (maybe do this for your winter trip…) check out Souther Tier Brewery…AMAZING beer! Stay away from EBC…and especially Pearl St. for microbrews.
Anytime I’ve had visitors in they really enjoyed EA, with good weather and timing you could also hit up Hunters Creek for a little hike, Roycroft visit, the previously mentioned Barbill/Tantalus, then hop back on the 400 and hit up the city afterwards.
Mammossers for wings.
Flying Bison’s beers suck, don’t take them there if you’re trying to show them good beer.
Pearl Street’s beers also suck.
EBC has good beers, especially if they have their bourbon Imperial on tap
Southern Tier has awesome beers! You can’t go wrong with any of their beer.
Oh, and what was said above, Mammosers has great wings!

I’ll say it again, Flying Bison’s beers suck!
:squint:
I LOVE their beers.
