What would you spend your savings on??

The guy’s selling his car to buy a Skyline, and he’s the original owner of the 240. From what i hear, he’s washed the car once a week and also drives a Titan.

i think the 2nd option should be edited to “might as well burn all 8 grand insted of buying a KA24”

One option will get you further in life so that you can buy even better cars, the other gets you an overpriced 15 year old Nissan. Not a tough decision in my books.

Yeah not really a choice for me…

Plus I hear HICAS is quirky at best…correct?

hicas=vlsd so it is good, you can always lock it out. But yeah, school is more important than anything so there is no choice in my mind. school will get you more cars in the future, and more money to modify those cars.

school is overrated. take it coming from a guy who has two college certifications and made the most money doing taxes (completely unrelated to my school) for an employer that didn’t even require high school.

the best jobs aren’t advertised, and alot of places are willing to train.

plus u can always go back later. it was nearly ten years since i last went to college, and i went back and graduated in 2005 with honours.

Yeah well unfortunatly we can’t all rely on lucking out and falling into a job like that…

In my position right now I’d spend the $8000 on a car, I’m already done school, I’m at a wicked job points to forum signature I’m at a young age and the reason I can spend $8000 is because I sacrificed to go for the education. In reality education is the single most important thing you can have, you don’t need to go to college or anything like that, its really up to you but now a days you can’t just solely rely on education 'nor experience despite how much a company is going to train you. I mean if not for my education I wouldn’t be in my profession (of course personality, SALES ISN’T EASY!) Anyways…depends on what you want to do, I took my education and sacrificed the 2 years because my skills are all transferable, I can take the education I got, apply it to a job and gain experience, get more education, gain more experience and I can go wherever I please…bottom line is if you want to be able to jump around jobs and not stay with the same company for 5 or so years just to get experience, the $8000 is worth it 'cause in the long run you can earn $120,000.

At the same time post secondary usually isn’t for everyone and people have that freedom to continue on with education or not and also the luxury of going back to school if they want, its all personal preference, however you want to spend your money, live your life I guess its up to you. If you find spending $8000 on education is worth it then go for it but if you find it’ll benefit you more if you spend the $8000 on a car by all means, in the end though its all materialistic materials…its up to you I guess everyone has a different way of spending $8gs since it is a lot of money…

Like I tell all my clients, $8000.00 seems like a lot of money yes but think of the long term effects, your buying the features and benefits that you will own for a long time. Don’t you think investing on something that will make you money in the future worth the risk?

what did you take in school? Must’ve been an english major. jk

ha ha, marketing :stuck_out_tongue:

i wouldn’t exactly call it ‘lucky’. 1100 people wrote the GCT 1 (gov’t test) in WPG in 1999 and only 400 were interviewed and 60 people were hired. I was hired the next year, along with about 50 others. so only the top 10% were hired. you still have to be sharp.

ya, but what they said; it’s your money, if you believe it’s worth spending on a car then buy it. you can always make more money.

Hmm… Thought it over and did the “Right” thing. Spent the money on tuition and saving the rest for rent. The rest i saved up this summer went to paying down my student loans, which will still give me a few grand to play with until i max out my line of credit…enough to buy the 240. But then, i will have a lot of debt to pay off next year.

Anyways, i decided to wait until next year to buy a car and suck it up. I pretty much have a well paying job for when i graduate, so i’ll probably get something newer or better.

I really liked the HICAS. Once you got a good alignment, good tires (summer and winter), and time behind the wheel it’s awesome. You hardly turn the wheel in the winter when going around corners.

Congrats! Good choice.
