Enough is enough, I can’t take it anymore. Here is what’s really going on.
I’m not going to bother explaining myself - just look at the pictures and you’ll understand. Enjoy…
First things first. Out comes the old

Test fit of transmission – Doesn’t fit too well, most people mount it this way but cutting corners wasn’t in the plan …
.jpg)
Or was it???
.jpg)
Brace yourself. If it wasn’t for this reinforcement the car was about to collapse in half under it’s own weight
.jpg)
The cutting begins. I had left the room with tears in my eyes for this part

cries

On the bright side… success!
.jpg)
Shifter lines up nicely…

Patching our new hole
.jpg)
Partially cleaned up firewall/tunnel
.jpg)
Nearly finished rebuilt firewall/tunnel
.jpg)
And from the inside (like I said, not finished yet)

Clutch
.jpg)
New oilpan w/ reverse-style pick-up (had to overnight this baby from Austrailia since I forgot to get it before we started)
.jpg)
New Bushings
.jpg)
New Multilink suspension for front (had rears too but not sure where the pics are)
.jpg)
New timing sprocket and chain, might as well do it while motor is out
.jpg)
New Coilovers
.jpg)
Rear Installed w/ Multi-Link (Thanks Bing)

Tein Tie Rods

Needed to cut and re-enforce the crossmember in order for the oilpan to fit properly… contrary to how it appears, it’s much stronger than it was before the modifications

New driveshaft. Rated for 800FT/LB. This part blew me away – I gave them the specs for this driveshaft less than 2 hours before this picture was taken. They fabricated it, painted it and delieverd it within that time.

Flanges to be used for fabricated header and exhaust. Believe it or not (Don’t worry, I didnt) this is USD $255.00 worth of flanges after overnight shippin, etc. Dont ask.

Piping for exhaust

Prototype ghetto motor mounts we fabricated… these need to be re-done as the motor sits a bit too high for the hood to close - the intake mani is bigger than we thought.

Jokes on me.
