Take it from the person that did most of the work to Ray’s car (me)-if your goal is to be in the same league as it, you’re going to need an HTA86 at minimum, AWD and a reduced chassis weight. Unlike some, I’ll tell you that it’s absolutely possible, but you may not be happy with the street characteristics of the car.

Making power is the easy part. Keeping it it in the driveline is going to be the challenge. Moderate power to start and weed out the bugs, with headroom to grow is going to be the key to this project. Think of it as 2 phases.
