Whats with all the high prices?

I don’t mind paying more for a clean chassis. With the amount of kids buying up 240’s in general and making them look at ass, I’m shocked that people are not asking for more money.

Not always, sometimes you score a good deal. Just depends how long you wait for one to come up

Clean chassis’s, like Bings for example, are simply harder to come across, thus the price is bumped up a bit to represent the condition and/or rarity. I agree, some prices are outrageous for what the seller has posted, however, you can always go WITH CASH (the asking amount) in hand and bargain a bit with them for a lower price.

Moral is; If you don’t have the flow to afford it, don’t complain.

No gravy, no jam my friends.

The only people who think there worth more are the people who have them. Sure, enthusiasts like us may be willing to spend more sometimes, but be realistic people. Most of them are 20 year old cars with some rust problems. They aren’t worth THAT much. Too everyone else they are simply a form of transportation from point A to B.

Im not hating one bit, in fact im happy prices are up as bing said. To me this means our project cars that we build are gunna actually be worth it, when it come time to let them go. A few are over priced, but i wouldnt mind the clean, and well taken care ones to be sold at a price that is respectful for the car, which most are.

bad for people like me…during school I have no time for a job. during Summer I don’t make enough …or atleast I don’t make as much as I’d like to. But I have such a love for the s-chassis…=(

^ you dont make 4k?

the price for rust is at an all time high lol

why are people complaining?.. specially ones you own them…
your POS is now worth more than a coffee at tims.
LOL

but i guess for the guys without a POS… well at least youll than have some money when your able to buy one… and not keep it rusty and stock and think your a madtyte JDM drifter.
lol.

Madtyte yo

LOL^

man, regardless of if you own one or not,
the lower we push the prices on them the higher the chance of them being mistreated and abused because pretty much anyone can afford to buy one. if we keep the prices not HIGH, but at a reasonable level then you’re keeping them exclusive to people who would actually take some time to save up and buy one, and give more than a shit about them.

so next time you go out trying to buy one, you have a smaller selection of good ones as opposed to larger selection of shit ones that some 16 year old bought because it was all $500 could get him. keeping the prices higher is beneficial to everyone! have it or not!

^ or when project cars need parts we just junk em cause its too hard to get a parts car.

I dont see much wrong at all with those prices… if you want a 1000$ car go buy a used civic or caviler dont turn more 240s into shitty projects.

that’s true, but raising cost of 240s wont eliminate scrap/parts cars altogether. you still have cars that have been in accidents

if you really wanna raise the value of these cars, and lower the chance of a tard ruining them, we should collectively all buy shitty civics and integras or whatever and pretend to drift them around all our respective cities. Than all drift fanboys will jump at civics and other such cars that we don’t care about and we’ll be an exclusive group again lol…

Or find a way to put four doors and other drift deterents like hicas and traction control on them. But thats alot of work, lets just raise the price.

it all depends what you get, like i always say you get what you pay for, a super mint s14 thats fully built with a rb26dett and everything you could imagine doing to it is done like interior, exterior, wheels suspension fully built bottom end to top should go for around $25000k + same for a 2jz swap and a fully built one with a sr20det should go for anywhere from 8k to $15000 s13s cause of there rust will not have such a high value but if you find one without and spot of it and also is fully done then they should go for around the same. but a clean stock s14 or s13 with no rust and low kms or even a bit high kms should go for 5-6k but most people will never spend that much for a stock 240, i my self spent 7 k for a stock s14 but it was well worth every penny
