Well, i’ve been searching around and asking about and thus far come up with nothing. I had my wheels off last winter and in the barn, and they gathered dirt/dust apparently and now seem to have either what was the beginning of rust, or just some sort of stains. At any rate, blemishes whatever they may be, that I can’t get rid of. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get rid of or atleast lessen the noticability of the blemishes on them.
Thanks.
Not very good pictures, sorry. I tried to sharpen them up the best I could.
Its appears to be the clear coat, or clear powder coat comming back. They would need completely stripped and hopefully you can match the same finish on the aluminum with some light polishing. Then recoat them.
Looks like a Hyper Light finish? I’m not sure of the process of that but it seems like it would be a pain in the ass, that def. looks to be in the clear coat. I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole wheel lip would need to be re-powder coated or painted?
Yikes, AKA expensive huh? I’m assuming I’d have to bring it somewhere to get a price quote on it kinda though. Probably wouldn’t be worth it though if it’s as hard as you guys say. Thanks for the help though.
Just dirt sitting on it messed it up that bad though?
Geeze…
those look just like my rims and i have the same problem
take them to amf and get them powdercoated…
Company defect?
Have you ever tried contacting them about it? That’s what I was thinking of doing. It seems odd that dust eats clearcoat up…:dunno:
Flik’s by the way if that’s what you have also…or anyone else have this problem with these wheels?
they called alloytech rims ? lol
