Wheel spacer question?

as the title says im wondering how big of a spacer i can run (if at all) with out going to longer studs? im trying to get my 300zx 30mm calipers t clear my wheels thanks for the help

Cheers
Chris

I’m running 7mm spacers on my wheels and that’s about as far as I’d go.

Any further and there isn’t enough threads for the wheel nut to grab.

Whats the problem with running longer studs ?? i dont understand why people have problems installing them… it couldnt be any easier.

not everywhere carries longer nuts, I ran into this problem…

really I know Parts source has them stock… well the camaro studs… simple procedure, Ive been running them for nearly 3 yrs now, and i know others are using them with no problems

what do they charge for 20 studs?

check that out… theres a pic of the packaging, they come in a package of 5. not sure but maybe around 20 bucks for 5 … not much…

i also have a question i am doing 300 zx brakes on my s14 also and its a 5 bolt and i have the stock rims do you have the same rims becasue i posted a thread last week and someone told me that it would fit no problem so was he right or wrong i have the 1998 stock LE rims

I have 30mm Z brakes on my car and the stock s14 rims will clear it.

yeah i really dont think mine will (i own the 240 in the banner) like i’ll test fit before i buy spacers but i still have my doubts

I don’t get it? I have an s14, you have an s14, I have 30mm z32 brakes on and the stock wheels cleared it without spacers, so yours will too.

I think Happy240sx also has 30mm and he drives on stock rims everyday.

If you need spacers, I can get you some H&Rs or some Kics spacers with bolts.

yeah i dont have stock wheels if i did then i wouldnt have an issue :stuck_out_tongue: i know the stockers clear but i dont think that my rims on the 240 at the moment will clear :stuck_out_tongue:

thanks

Gotcha…

I don’t think yours will clear either.

you cannot run spacers any larger than 7mm without sacrificing safety, if you need to go larger get extended studs or bolt on spacers
