Where to get My car tinted?

Any suggestions?
And how much ? 1991 240sx coupe

Well, a bunch of people are gonna reccomend this place in Richmond Hill, there was a GB on it in the GB section here before, but me and my friend were very dissatisfied with their service, as we both ended up with scratches on our windows. Not scratches on the tint, like actual gashes in the glass. First I thought it was just me, but when I bitched about it to him, he told me the same happened to him and showed me them. Price wasn’t bad, bout 120 bucks, but still, very unprofessional.

i got my car tinted at Pro Auto in thornhill
and hear many gd things about FX auto in markham…

how much do you guys think it would cost to remove the tint from the rear side hatches window and rear hatch glass? (just a rough quote)
thanks

I have a feeling you and your friend are just noobs like I was when I got my windows tinted. I mean, I haven’t seen your scratches so I’m probably making this claim out of line but I thought this same thing when I got my windows winted.

A friend who owns a little vinyl shop later told me that it’s actually beacuse the tint magnifies the scratches in the glass. If you think about it, it makes sense… it’s just like how the bubbles stand out like crazy (if you’ve ever seen bubbles in tint you would know what i mean) wherever the tint isnt touching the glass it changes color drastically and wherever there is a scratch the tint is technically not touching the glass wherever the scratch is in most cases especially if they have any sort of significant depth to them.

Also, I’ve since watched a few tinting jobs been done and they don’t use any tools that could possible scratch glass - they’re working with tint for dirty sluts sake which is a lot easier to damage than the glass  They use plastic squeegees (sp?) and some other plastic thingies.

Just something to consider, im not saying it didnt happen to you but this is just likely the case in my eyes.

^ True that Johnny-boy!

true that.

And really… for 120 bucks what do you expect.

id pay no less than 180 to 200 dollars for most cars because i know the quality is going to be there.

theres a place in woodbridge just the other side of the 400 on langstaff. hes done 4 of my cars and i love it.

ive now started dealing with a mobile buy here in newmarket that does the work at the fine details around the corner… again… no problems and hes now done 3 more of my cars… 1 of wich is actually there this morning being done!

200 cash for a 2 door golf with a few years full warenty on the work.

i likey.

Greg I am going to kick you in the Nuts BOY

Hmmm… I don’t see why tint would magnify it, but it could be. I just thought they got dirt onto that soft rubber thing that contacts the glass to seal it from the outside that the window rolls against. Errr… in my defense his car was pretty new, so while I could see glass scratches being there from before on my old ass S13, it’d be a lot less likely on his car.
