Where to go in DC?

On a whim I took my son to DC for the weekend, give me some ideas on where to take him. We looked at almost all the monuments last night and we’re going to do a couple of the Smithsonian’s today and Capitol Hill anywhere else?

Lincoln Memorial for sure, Aerospace Smithsonian, I don’t really remember the Jefferson Memorial. Post pics!

We are on our way to the museums of natural history and of aerospace now and did Lincoln last night. Thanks though.

If he likes planes, Udvar-Hazy for sure, they have an SR-71, Enola Gay, etc.

Tesla Dealership?

There is a “pie”(can’t find the Greek letter on the phone here) pizza place there too. It was pretty good.

X…

HOT idea.

Think they would get mad if my son and I walked in there with marshmallows on sticks?

We did the monuments at night last night today so far we did the art museum, natural history museum, space and aero museum and the national archives. I think we may do the spy museum in the morning and then head out.

How old is your son?

7, This was just as much for me as it was for him lol.

I was going to suggest the Holocaust museum, but he may be a little young for that.

Probably. My son and I have probably put 15-20 miles on in the last 30 hours. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/11/10/ruse6ene.jpg so we took a little break.

My 7 year old daughter is there right now with my sister visiting my aunt who lives in DC. I went there quite a few times as a kid but that was 25 years ago. My aunt used to live right on Capital Hill which was neat.

We are staying only a few blocks away from Capitol Hill. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/11/10/amezysam.jpg

If you are there through Monday g to Fado Irish pub…great quiz night…team names are often political…I was there the week after all the John Edwards affair stuff happened… One teams name was something vulgar about the affair and elizabeth Edwards tumor… His daughter cate was there…she left in tears

Lol at bar trivia and 7 year old son. Still good suggestion for others though.

To an Obamacare protest?
I keed I keed. Lincoln memorial for sure, also the Ford’s Theatre maybe . He’d probably like the spy museum as well. Can’t go wrong with any of the Smithsonians really.
