Dont bother with the t25. Spend that money and get mint T28 or another T25.

if u want something more serious i can give u my t3 super 60 and u can have it rebuild by cherry turbo. the turbo needs a major rebuild. i have it all apart but just don’t have a rebuild kit. its going to need a sleeve at the compressor back plate. but the cherry guy will do that for u. come oshawa get it. 25$$ for u. bought it for 50$$

I think it was discussed in other threads that rebuilding most cheap smaller turbo’s wasn’t really worth it since the cost to rebuild was high, so I can guarantee it won’t be worth to rebuild a t25 as they only go for about 150 bucks

Just make absolute sure the turbo you buy isn’t blown!

t25 rebuild is generally $400 from a shop. Closer to 120 if you do it yourself.

After swapping so many of these t25’s over the past 2 years, its not worth it, unless u plan on keeping the little turbo at a stockish boost and don’t plan really driving it hard.

If you do plan on driving your car hard, then save up and get a newer turbo. Something that can handle higher boost levels and won’t destroy it self. When you factor in the gaskets every time a turbo fails, the time you spend swapping it and all that shit, sticking with the stock t25 is a bigger hardship on the longer run.

Cheapest alternative is a gently used t28. More expensive is a used gt2871r.

Herman @ cherry turbos is great. Just ask him to build you a new one. I brought him a turbo to rebuild and ended up replacing for cheaper and got a better product. He works out of his house and turn around is a few days
