I searched and I saw two recommendations, but they are old posts…
I have a completely gutted non-240sx that needs a cage, something I can legally use on a road course as well as drift, car also needs some minor body work
Also, I have the time to help work on it, if anyone would be amenable to that?
Speaking from experience, Rene is one of the best fabricators around.
My cage was done by him.
Other than my door bars (which will be added in later) the cage is to the bare minimum spec for any pro drift competition rule book (I.E DMCC, FD, XDC…etc). It will also be street driven.
Might want to check your “bare minimum spec for any pro drift competition rule book (I.E DMCC, FD, XDC…etc)” because that won’t fly.
7.4.6 Main hoop:
The main roll hoop (behind the driver) shall extend the full width of the driver/passenger compartment and shall be as near the roof as possible with a maximum of 4 bends, totalling 180 degrees ± 10 degrees.
Pretty well the same spec for any competition in Canada.
Yah I kinda figured that, but for OP and everyone else getting a cage fabbed that “meets any spec”, make sure u do ur research so your fabricator can fix their mistake before finding out that they won’t let you onto the track.
