You are missing the point, the price per gallon is not directly comparable. It’s still a point A to point B fuel if you don’t have the means to switch tunes on the fly. As a daily driver fuel, it’s not any cheaper than premium. You have to account for the ~30-40% increase in fuel consumption when on e85.
