like was said before…they are not remake
but i wouldn’t mind either one…i like both the RX8 & the 350Z, would i own one…probably not, cause there is a lot of other stuff i’d rather have for that money.
would i drive a 350Z or RX8 = yes
would i buy a 350Z or RX8 = probably not
would i drive a GTO or Charger = NO
would i buy a GTO or Charger = definately NOT
as much as I hate the GTO name and what it stands for, I would still rather have one of those compared to the z, rx8, or the charger. It is a descent car, I just don’t think it lives up to the name of “GTO”.
bottom line: gto’s are the bestest cars ever built (until bluez28 sells his)

I raced one on I-70 just outside cincinatti to columbus the entire way.
I couldnt leave him far behind from 90+ roll. but we drop down to 20-30mph a ton of times, I would get 5-6 easy cars before 100.

I’d like everyone to remember that stock RX-7s and 300ZX’s arent exactly pavement pounding demons of destruction either. stock FD RX-7’s only made 250hp. 300zx TT’s made 300, but weighed a lot more. Mid-low 14 sec cars. The “new versions” really arent that far behind.

Ummm if i rolled raced the last generation rx-7 with a turbo no way in hell could i ever beat it.
im not a big fan of the rx-8 i think its the rear doors…i just dont like them
the 350 z follows the z line… as you had the 240, 280, 300 etc z’s. the number came from displacement.
the rx-8 does not continue the lineage of the rx7. that would be like saying the rx7 was the next generation of the rx3… so in that deffense, the rx8 is a “new” car, allthough we all know it was made to follow in the lines of the rx7, i.e. a sporty rotary.
the rx8 is deffinitely a let down. the 350z has tons of potential w/ afternarket, the rx8 is the black sheep that was neglected.
