Whitey's 1993 Nissan 240sx

Excellent.

Looking good whitey! Same turbo as mine so you should get 400whp no problems like I did  mine is a 1.8L still :stuck_out_tongue:

Not yet, thinking closer to 370 right now. I am still trying to figure out a way to tune it.

Hybrid cannot chip that ECU for a tune?

Had another crazy work weekend on the car and got a good bit done. The turbo and all the lines are finally complete. Spent a ton of time dicking with to make sure it was perfect.

Added the Z brakes I had sitting on the shelf for about 6 months:

Jeff made me a Driveshaft loop:

Jeff made a fatty intake pipe and hot pipe:

Another shot, you can also see the new 300zx Brake Master Cylinder:

I also wired in the new Subaru injectors and with the help of Cheeks installed the 300zx shifter. Everything is going as planned, I just need to get some oil and the car is ready to fire! Thanks a ton to Jeff for his help this weekend and for cheeks having an unlimited supply of parts!

those z brakes look titties. :bigthumb:

this may sound dumb, but do you have to worry about cooking the brake fluid? That turbo looks really close to the reservoir.

Too bad you couldn’t use brake fluid to cool the turbo, it’s right there!

Not dumb at all, the down pipe is not on because of that reason. I am going to make a plate next weekend to take care of that. Most people do not run a plate or any protection and they don’t have any problems, but I would rather be safe then sorry.

I melted 2 mbc resovoirs because of this

nice! good luck with fabing that up. Maybe see you at another north hills auto-x!

Not to mention, that new master cylinder w/ the slimmer 300z res. is slim (from the looks of it) compared to the stock 240s.

i only did 1

what size injector did you end up going with again?

this is gonna be exciteing to see on the road!!!

Few questions, whats the spool time on that turbo? Plan on raising the rev limiter at all? Looks nice!

Sard 850cc Injectors

I am not going to speculate on this answer yet because I do not know exactly. The plan is to eventually to covert to a solid lifter setup and rev it out to 9k. Will see how it all goes in the next few months. Either way the added power is going to be a kick in the pants.

I don’t recall what the rev limiter is on those cars, but a solid lifter setup should be tits. Are you going to go with a dual spring setup and keep everything else stock?

Lookin good

stock rev limiter is 7500 on the sr20, I have upgraded valve springs already that I rev it out to about that when i am running at the track. As far as the new head parts, I really have no clue at this point. It will mainly depend on Jay’s research over the next year and what he recommends to be the best setup. Hopefully next winter I will be working on the 500hp setup. Who knows though, maybe I will even wise up and ditch the SR.
