I am creating this post as a reference for people who will be getting their alarm/car audio installed by one of the shops in capital region. Just post who installed your equipment and if the place was any good.
I’ve had all my installs done at Hard Knox Collision and Customs… Very happy with the results.
no problems with the work the guys do at Precision Mobile Audio
I installed my own stereo. Along with many other peoples. At very reasonable prices. LOL
yea, but are you happy with the build quality? hows your warranty on labor? :tong
ask anyone whos seen my setup. Its Clean as shit. Im extreamly happy w/ the quality. As far as a warrenty, if anything goes wrong w. any of the wiring or whatnot, sure ill fix it. if its a malfunction w/ an amp deck or sub, welll since i dont sell stuff, its not my problem.
i do my own audio, well other stuff too as much as i can
I do all my installs my self as well; everything from simple mdf boxes & amp racks to full blown fiberglass, carbon fiber… stuff. I usually buy my supplies from Audio Obsessions, Adam knows his shit in and out. Prices are great for local pick up, but unfortunately online is always cheaper. Those guys are always there to help, explain, and have never steered me in the wrong direction. Never sold me something I didn’t need. Very classy joint I do say… http://www.audioobsessions.com/
PS free bump for my side jobs: If anyone wants anything built car audio wise PM me. I have examples of my work if you want to see them BTW. :banana
yea i get my stuff done at audio obessions aswell…they’re very personable and they know there stuff
Audio Obsessions FTMFW
those guys are mad chill
i buy my stuff there, but do my own installs
Yea, Me and Nick both did our own sub enclosures. Fiberglass tubs in the spare tire well.
ya my buddies accord had his shit installed by them looked good but the price he told me was fucked up ! i wouldnt pay that…
his car is in the gallery, two jbl subs on recessed in the trunk bed…
hey I’m gonna be gettin a sub and an amp for my car, I dont want somthing that will over power my car by any means, but I want to hear some nice bass. any recomendations, it doesnt need to be anything crazy either, just a 500watt sub. and a 10" woofer, unless you have other specs I should look at and reasons for it.
I’ve got a 1200 want xplode with 2 x 12" MTX’s (the good kind, cant remember but the metal lookin ones) thatI been using in my last 2 cars, and im gonna keep them unless you wanna buy them , already in a killer sealed box you might wanna build your own box since this only fits in some huge trunks like merc or lincolns ha
i had them setup normal for a while now , and then i bridged the connections and it nearly stalled my car on idle haha but it was mega dope killer bass , some reason that setup sounded always so good, actually, i have to keep it nvm LOL
so if your goin cheap i recommend some mtx’s but the good ones , which are cheap still,. i heard the crappy ones they are just that… crappy, bridge the connection too sounds soo better
ha, thats a little overkill for what I’m looking for
got my compustar alarm system done at audio obsessions n they did a good job… other than leaving a couple panels unclipped, and me finding peanut shells in my car afterwards :confused
alarm works great tho
u should see these polks we picked up from tweeter when they were closing down, 550 dollar subs for 200 a piece wh00000000 12 inch SR’s ! dual coil monsters … thats over kill ! then again u can get really stupid with audio, but the mtx’s are good enough for me
I do all of my own work. And some for friends. Learned everything I know for the most part from Mike Briggs at East Coast before he started working there. I cut my teeth on his TA. ;D
Those guys are the shit. Bought a bunch of stuff from them back in the day. Good dudes.
Where is this Audio Obsessions? Never been. The only one I knew of was East Coast and that was because my friend Mike works there.
(WOOT WOOT! Time to go home!)
