was thinking about maybe rustproofing the crap outta my 240 and driving it this winter. just wondering how many of you actually store your cars and how many of you drive em.

Yup got a beater, and I got the storage for the kouki. I will never drive anything that I care about in the winter. Last year I was sitting at a red light and some guy rearended me. Luckily I was in my beater. My rear end was fucked, he was in a 2008 Rogue and had at least $4000 damage. OF COURSE no snow tires.
best thing is to do both!
just to come back and say something…i wish we did not have winter…it is depressing having no car to drive and go to drift events…ect… i hate living in a northern country becasue of the weather. life would be so much better if there was no wintertime./end.
hell no, been storing mine since i first got it in early 2006. I plan to put her away maybe next week actually 
been stored since september 18, sucks balls driving a 240 in the winter is a riot! waaaay to much fun
put mine away september 27th…until next year 
might take it out a couple times to play in the snow around the block other than that no winter for her.

Im also wondering, i have a 240 with no rust. I want to store it but don’t want to deal with some peace of junk beater. I work really close to home, like 5km. is it worth it to just winter drive it? only to work and back, wash it alot, plus i just did the krown rustproof. or to just get a beater?

Meh, rust proof and you’ll be fine.
I drove my red 240 that didn’t have any rust other then on the rocker which I found before winter. I covered it in rocker guard every week and it never grew. It was later fixed when I sold the car and still sits nice and mint.
Depending on my financial situtaion I may just be driving my 180 after I get it undercoated. I fear wrecking the car before rusting, as we all know summer drifters use the winter as practice time.
grab a cheap tercel man, a 5km drive ain’t that bad of a torture in a tercel haha jkz 
drove it one winter in 07’, after that it’s winter storage all the way for it and any other car I love!
