Who redrills lug patterns on rims locally?

Like the title says, I have a guy selling some Mcleans 14x7 locally and he says they are 5x4.75 but to me they look 5x4. Im not even sure if they could be redrilled but take a look at the pics and see. Hes saying add 3/4 to the 4" measurement lol. How much for a set and who does it?

Also if anyone locally has some wire wheels or knows someone who does let me know, I am looking for 13x7 or 14x7 bolt on or knock offs 5x4 3/4 please.

Is the backside of the mounting pad totally flat? If not, a redrill may not be possible.

Im not sure but I see what you are saying about that upper ring that is raised i thought the same thing. I will ask him to send a photo of the back.

Soo does anyone know a good shop that redrills?

he’s measuring wrong. the correct way to measure a 5-lug pattern is the center of one hole to the outside edge of the other.

This doesn’t make sense. This is dependent on the size of the stud. Maybe OK for an approximation.

A correct formula would be to measure outside to outside of those two lugs (call it X)
And the stud diameter (call it D)

Then the lug pattern for a 5 bolt would be:
BC = (X-D)/Cos(18)

But most people can’t even use a trig function on a fuckin’ calculator, which is pathetic.

Shit just approximate Cos(18) as 0.951

BC=(X-D)/.951

correct, it serves as an approximation. if he measured that way it would be a lot closer to telling if it’s actually the pattern he needs vs the way the seller measured referenced above.

and the whole thing about the average person not being able to use trig on a calc is exactly correct lol.

While I can see it being OK to discern 5 on 4" vs 5 on 4.75" there is no way that method could work between 5x110 and 5x114.5

The fact that that graphic even exists is frustrating to me.

I’m here for the mathletes circle jerk.

So will it take off?

Any machine shop could do it, but it can’t have a back pad that looks like this. If there isn’t material to drill, they won’t be able to change the PCD.

Otherwise, filling the existing holes and then drilling may be his only option

I thought on those type of wheels you could you just place a new insert?

Here is the back, it looks like the front but reversed lol. I Guess I will have to meet this guy and look at the rim in person to see if it is fat enough to re drill or will fit. Suck because its a grat price for the rims but they are 14’s and I really want 13’s. Im about to just get some Chinas of ebay with tires and say fuck it.

Called a bunch of machine shops around, does anyone know one that redrills rims?

Found this on Ebay but I would rather have someone locally do it.

Who re drills rims locally. I checked all machine shops and no one does it. Can anyone tell me a place that does???

there isn’t a place locally that will do it.

↑ Apparently not, I called all kinds of places. Buffalo Sucks. I found this but I dont want to do it.
