im worried about getting my car done. NYS is cracking down. Their going to nit pick everything.
I think it depends on how you get it done. Lots of Trucks, SUVs, Vans have privacy Glass. If you just tint the rear windows they should not question it unless they guy inspecting is really just a dick…go somewhere else. I never had a problem with the 5% I had.
If you tint your front windows just take your car on a nice day and keep the windows down. :shrug:
i would tint my front 2. 20% all the way around. My wifes truck and my dads mountaineer has the privacy glass in the back and the front 2 windows tinted to match. To date, (knock on wood) we have never been stopped.
Its all fun and games til the cop tells me to roll the window up which I always wondered if that is legal or not. My buddy had a NF cop last week cut a big X in his tint and made him peel half of the tint off on the spot.

i guess that’s the only good thing about not having a/c in my car lol, the windows are always down
I got pulled over one time because I was speeding. I admitted to a 54 in a 45 but he never actually told me how fast I was going. It was a REAL nice and sunny day so I had the windows down. He asked me to roll them up. I did because I don’t have the front windows tinted for this reason. I’m glad I only did the rears. I only the ticket for doing 54 in a 45. That was on Cole Rd by an OP Cop.

lol I’m trying to get his number too. I seen him in his white mercedes with stickers down the side of it. I’m sure I’ll run into him at a car show and grab his number.

I’m looking for a quality tint shop in the WNY area. One that uses quality film like FormulaOne tint or Hüper Optik film and uses Mole Skin.

He’s done 3 of my cars, I havent had the past two cars done that I own.
He works out of a couple shops now, Lexos Glass in E Aurora, ATM Restyle in Hamburg, and I believe still does some mobile work as well.
i feel like i’m missing something. went in today for a quote for my sentra, the guy told me 149.99 regular price. $10 off since i’m a nyspeeder, i’d be paying 140. was it something i said?
