Looking for a price for the rear three windows on a Acura TL for 50% tint anyone know what it might be?
BUMP, i guess i’m gonna try rainbow
You won’t regret it. I went there last June with my dad’s MB and they did a great job! Still looks fresh.
I’ve had a vehicle done there and I was very happy with it.
same here
Dennis
I called rainbow last time I was in town and the rates were definitely higher than I remembered. I am sure they still do great work.
I decided to go a different direction and ordered some 3M Crystalline. Figured put the best stuff on the car. Should be installed on Friday, then I will snap some pictures.
Dennis just did my allroad, it came out amazing. no complaints that guy knows his stuff. he tints at are shop usually once a week
I know everyone is all leg humping Rainbow, but I had a bad experience with them. I was gonna keep it to myself, but since the tread was bumped I thought I would weigh in on the Bad side of their work too.
I had my S10 done there, for pretty cheap, a year ago, and I got what I paid for. It was $80 for an extended cab truck, and around the mounts that allow the smaller side windows to open the holes were cut really poorly, the side door windows had a really shitty cut line at the top of the windows (both driver and passenger), and there were a bunch of razor cuts on my trim both inside and outside. Keep in mind this is just my work truck that wasn’t new to begin with, but still they did a shitty job.
At this point I wouldn’t feel good about taking a “nice” car there.
X…
That sucks man, you should of went back regardless of what you use the vehicle for. You paid $$ it wasn’t free.
I have no complaints though, I was referred by a few friends who got tints done there also. I took my dads CLS500 there in June 2010, guy did a great job. IIRC it was $160 for all windows.
lifetime warranty. take it back!!! Paulie will make it right.
X2, im a little upset with the tints on TL, the little rear windows are bubbled and creased up and the rear passenger window was cut short. I will have to make time to get it redone. It sucks but i will have to spend a Saturday morning one of these days getting it done. I was a fathers day gift from the wife so I wasnt there to look it over when it was done or I would have caught it. Front two windows are good though.
Ditto, I have cut marks, bubbles and other imperfections when they did mine which they said they would go away as well as a 1/2" inch gap or worse around the edge of all my windows and I even took all the interior trim/panels out for them so that wouldnt happen. Not worth it bringing it back to them. I would rather take it somewhere where they will do it right and perfect the first time than waste more of my time taking back.
OK who has the number for Dennis?
Maybe I just got lucky that one time. I looked over the car before I left, all was good.
Yeah that. I would like it also, want to get my car done now.
Bumpity bump
Need to have my current tint removed and redone. Have horrible bubbles around the lines on my back window. Already talked to Dennis but he cant do it- no steamer to remove current. Any suggestions?? Thanks for the help!
If all else fails…good ol fashion razor, rags, windex, and A LOT of patience.
I know you asked this 2.5 years ago, but it’s a good question, and good info for those on the board with older cars. Any car that’s 1991 or older doesn’t have to comply with the tint law (as long as the tint was done in 1991 or earlier. “Why yes officer this window tint was done in 1990.”)
Dennis works out of are shop call for appointment.
I bet I would be getting a lot more tickets if i told that to a cop lol, I also had a not so great tint job done at rainbow (this is the second one for me) Im done taking my cars there.
Both times the guy who drove it out of the shop (different younger guys) floored it to go the 10 feet to the front of the building… right in front of me no less…
never again
