I went to custom radio to get my 330xi tinted… not very happy.

Cost me 300$ after a 30$ off coupon… The passenger side window has a big bubble, about 1/2 inch round STILL after 4 weeks of drying (yes i know its cold but FFS) And even worse, the tint under the driver side tore open from under the weather strip… and after rolling it down it started to peel up… they said they’d fix it but “they normally don’t cover this type of thing”

And i know i didnt roll them down to early, i waited 3 weeks before temperatures started dropping below 50

when Dennis does them you can roll them down immediately. I love to do that to people when they dont know ill pull there car out and “accidentally” roll a window down

i didnt know you guys did them at the time or i would have gone down to your shop, i feel like i wasted money at custom radio.

Whats the word on this now? Stopped at Eclipse since its right next to my work. $89 to do everything but the windshield and front doors. I forgot to ask about the visor.

Anyone got any good suggestions for me?

Don’t do Eclipse.

Not sure where Rainbow Tint stacks up these days.

Problems with Eclipse? And rainbow did my malibu and my 6 which both ran me about $100 or so.

I had one of my cars done by Eclipse before and it turned out good. Mike(lightemup) from on here highly recommends Rainbow though.

They did a great job on both my cars. Price was good as well, just was looking around this time due to money being a factor and not worrying to much on quality. I almost wanted to try and do it myself. I’m good a laying vinyl down as well as film.

Click the “Search Thread” and type in Eclipse…I stopped after the first ~10 post said not to use them…

I had Rainbow do my rear 3 windows on my Grand Am a number of years ago. Total cost was $85. BDR LT1 did mine and it was perfect years later…but he is long gone.

I’m sure Eclipse has good days and bad days…general consensus in this thread was bad. :gotme:

I know Breetime on here had his done about a month ago and turned out really good. Guy who did it was really meticulous but not cheap obviously.

^ That’s probably enough to give it a shot then. Especially if it is near his work.

I think season plays a big role too. I had mine done in the Summer. The hot sun helped my tint adhere to the glass and got rid of random small air bubbles as the film dried.

Get that shit done NOW.

Call Swiderski and have Dennis do them. its worth the extra bucks. he does all my cars and does amazing work.

had my old Sentra done at Rainbow and i was really happy with it. since everyone’s raving about Dennis, i might do the BMW with him if i ever decide to do it.

my buddy that has been doing the tint at eclipse does good work, hes been doing it for over 20 years now. i can have it done at your house or some where on the side if anyone wants , alot cheaper than the shop too…
