Who's rocking a vintage motorcycle?

Link is working in travisn’s quote but not the original post lol.

The ad said it has a title. I live in Amherst and work in north buffalo so I would ride this all the way down Sheridan. I’m sure I could take the railroad tracks part of the way also. Haha

Word, thats cool. DO it!

I had to highlight>search google for http for the link to work.

it should be alright, mine just struggles to do 50ish

ha thanks.

once i sell my other bikes this is going to get a complete makeover so it will look pretty different if youre in the know.
otherwise it will still just look like a motorcycle.

anyway my brake is my right foot control.
my clutch is my left foot control.
my shifting is done by hand behind me.

Jay, buy my bike…

some Rochester bikes:

1972 Honda CB350 - $500

http://rochester.craigslist.org/mcy/4280826904.html

seat looks like a rookie attempt at best, needs wiring done (easy), but looks to have a 350f tank on it…which is sweet!

1978 Honda CB550 - Make Offer

http://rochester.craigslist.org/mcy/4255850903.html

hideous paint but rest looks in nice shape…would be a good buy in the $500-700 range

1979 Kawasaki KZ6750 - $850

http://rochester.craigslist.org/mcy/4255212664.html

this is huge for a twin cylinder bike. could be cool with some effort and imagination

1982 Kawasaki KZ550 - $600

http://rochester.craigslist.org/mcy/4274588911.html

pic is blurry, but for $600 if it’s a running/riding machine you can’t really go wrong.

1974 Honda CL450 - $600

http://rochester.craigslist.org/mcy/4274329048.html

what a gem! same as a cb450 just different tank/seat and the high pipes. swap a different tank and make a cool seat and this bike could be perfect!

1981 Kawasaki KZ550 - $500

http://rochester.craigslist.org/mcy/4260525596.html

looks great for the price

Needs carb work.

Also, the couch slips bro, the couch.

“ran when I parked it”

What helmets are you guys rocking on your “Vintage” bikes? I may end up ordering the Biltwell Gringo with either a bubble visor or goggles or both.

There’s a place in canada with replicas of the moto3 that are apparently DOT compliant…for like $175…it’s a thought, but I’ve been rocking a mix of regular full-face and some simple brain buckets…I should really upgrade my helmet situation.

My Moto 4 is enough for me for that Vintage look but it’s simply not safe. I need to upgrade so that’s what I’m shooting for.

yeah, I love the vintage look…I mean, they can’t be any worse than wearing a halfie…but still, if I’m wearing a full face it’s for a reason…I wish biltwell would do more DOT models than just the gringo.

I’m holding off with the Moto3 and AFX vintage full faces until i’m ready to scoop an all white Shoei RF1100. I’ll agree my lids aren’t the safest.

Shit, with the money people are paying for mine I could sell them both, buy an RF1100 and still have cash left over.

If I ever get mine running Ill be wearing my all black HJC full face.
I love the vintage look but I like my brains better. Maybe Ill find a cheap one to just go with the bike in pictures

Went to Syracuse with Mike (Lightemup) and picked up a 1977 CB550F Super Sport. It’s been fully restored from bare frame up. Going to clean a few things up and put a new set of tires on it and that’s it. Super stoked with the purchase, she’s minty and a real Super Sport.

Also ordered a Biltwell Gringo with bubble shield.

seeing thing along with the ads Nick posted really makes me want to pick up an older bike just to tinker with. damnit!

Nice bike and cool dog.

Is there a difference between a cb550 compsired to a 450 or 650 in terms of part availability/prices?

550 is much easier to find parts for the 450 or 650. the only honda easier to find parts for is the 750.

thanks

Do you guys prefer clip ons or bent bars?

And why?
