Who's rocking a vintage motorcycle?

These carbs cost ~$600

My 1978 CB550 with GSXR inverted front end, thanks @newman for making it happen, super stoked on where this is going.

that looks real good

nice

If anyone is wondering, I will do this conversion for $350 + parts ($300-350). I doubt anyone here is interested, but maybe they are.

I’ll take you up on this when I am back in NY. Maybe 1-2 years. (don’t lol, i’m being serious, unless you are willing to ship the parts)

That’s also just for the basic setup, not “deluxe” as shown in the picture.

Why wouldn’t he want to ship the parts? It would be axle, adapter, trees and spacers lol.

I’m not sure what is different about ‘delux’ but as long as @newman is OK with it, i’m going to need this is 2-3 months. I’ve got two bad 450’s motors and a third trans to piece a runner together, and my overall goal is to strip the bike back down to the frame and re-invent it as something completely different.

As soon as some of my travel and these two weddings are over, i’ll be digging back into it.

Looks really good, btw

Yeah I can definitely ship the parts. The only part from the bike I need is your lower triple tree and if your wheel is different then gennaro’s I’d need that too.

The “deluxe” thing refers to the rotor adapter. I made Gennaro’s all fancy, otherwise it would just be a round 5.5" adapter.

I figured i’d have to get you at least the lower triple as i’m 99% sure I have the same front hub, even if I do re-spoke it. Regardless, let’s table this for a little while and i’ll reach out once I am ready. I’m going to request a fancy, FOR SURE.

@newman came through and made a headlight bracket for my Vintage GM truck “foglight” which came out awesome. Love the louvers in it, the one shown in the picture is just one for fab purposes, I have another un-cracked lamp at the shop.

 to those pics walker

spanks

finally got some wiring done and spliced the GSXR hand controls and key switch into the harness for my xs750 triple cafe project that Checko and Pirite have been helping me build in our shop. Checko made the exhaust bends and then the two of us cut them to fit while pirite ground all the welds on the 3-1 collector I made from scratch. The engine in this probably hadn’t ran in almost two decades, I did’t even pull the plugs to see if they were clean enough to run (after this video I did and they were a MESS hahaha). Words can’t describe how good it felt that this thing fired RIGHT up. Now I just have to make up the rotor adapters, a set of triple trees to correct the trail, and make the fiberglass seat hump.

Picked up this 75 cb360 from my boss. going for a ‘scrambler’ look. Might do knobby tires, just trying to get it on the road asap and ride. I had some dirtbike bars lying around so I threw those on, got new controls/clutch lever/throttle tube. need to wire that up.

I want to put a flatter/thinner seat on and make a high 2-1 exhaust, maybe in the spring if I still have it. As of now it can go back to stock if so desired.

Right now it needs to either be ridden (hasn’t been ridden in years) or some sort of tune up as it only likes to start when held WOT.

man i love the cb350s^

Clean those carbs and you’ll be in much better shape Travis
