I actually found some peace and quiet recently in Orange County. This is South of San Clemente, near San Onofre State Beach. I’m as far down as I can go, essentially on gov’t (Camp Pendleton) land.
I have a burnout video, but no one finds those fun.

Rode this thing for the majority of the day a couple weeks back, TONS of fun without hand controls!
Tossed on some “dual-sport” tires on the Nighthawk for my cross-country trip that is coming up so I gave them a good ole test in the mud:

I had my FZR 600 running last night for the first time in a few years.
I replaced the emulsion tubes and now have to clean up a hundred little things before it’s worth riding, but i’m getting closer.
I can not believe just how worn those stupid tubes were. It’s no wonder I hated rinding it so much.
I also started looking up cafe parts for the 75 KZ400. It’s carbs are shitty as well.
It could probably use a rebuild and as the prev. owner advised, new bearings in the head set.
He suggested that it likes to stick…
Both kids want to help take the bikes apart, so I’m slightly more motivated this summer.

hop on allballsracing.com to look up the part number for a tapered neck bearing kit…then search the part number on amazon and buy it cheaper there. lol.
KZ400 carbs suck ass. just a heads up, they’re a pain in the ass to get apart and clean. One of few sets I absolutely hate doing.
Would anyone on here be interested in a CB750 Super Sport? Runs, shifts and has a title.

Nothing hard though, just slap the tank and carbs on. Prob could use a cleaning too

Oh I know, first page says 70’s-80’s! I barely missed the cut off. There really isn’t another motorcycle thread that is active, I already checked. My “Vintage” bike shall be posted within the next month or two though!

I like the front end swap section of that site 
I wonder how expensive a gsxr front end would be.
I do hate the carbs, and at somepoint, the float mount looks to have been cracked or broken and welded back to the body.
It would be nice if I could find a drop in set for cheap.
Any pics of these nearly copmplete bikes possibly for sale.
Unless it’s a steal, I would probably not buy, but you never know who might see this thread. and I’m always looking for ideas.
