yeah that cb350 on CL went QUICK lol, I tipped off Bobbyg1423 on it as soon as it posted (I have RSS feed from CL direct to my phone)
wrenching with Gennaro and motocrossx23 on the XS650 felt wierd using off-the-shelf parts lol. not used to NOT fabbing everything from scratch

I was really jealous of all the other bikers out there, and my 750 was in pieces… I was going to slap it back together, but knew I’d have to take it apart like 10 times over the summer until I’m happy with it… So I went out for a 750 motor and came home with an '81 gpz 1100. lol
The 750 is currently bare like a 16 year old. I’ll be slowley working on that buggy until it’s perfect. Ended up purchasing a motor stand from harbor, and plan to crack that whore open… Hopefully I just trashed the rings from heat stroke, and that is the least of the damage.

Gennaro and I just went in on a '79 XS650 and shit ton of extra parts. I’m getting the bike and he is getting some good parts to finish his build. I’ll be hard-tailing it and making it a bobber. I’m thinking whitewall tires, black out the engine and wheels, and a midnight blue metallic sportster tank with a spring seat and drag bars. Sounds good.

I just ordered reservoir rear shocks, bar-end mirrors, a mini gel battery w/charger, and dirtbike throttle and clutch controls. fucks yeah gonna re-wire the bitch and slim down the controls by ditching the clucky stock ones and running toggle switches and dirtbike controls for cheapppppppp.
gonna fix my gas leak, repaint lots of shit, and put all the new parts on…when it’s done and rideable I’ll start on the XS650 bobber build.

bumping this up, how’s everyone else’s builds coming? I should be able to ride by the weekend or so. Once the CB550 cafe is finished for this season’s updates, the XS650 is going under the knife for the hardtail. I’ve been stripping it and selling the parts to fund a sporty peanut tank and solo seat, so it’s nearly stripped to a roller/engine already lol.
