ive got most of the issues sorted out on the harley. i still expect to fix it pretty much every time i go to ride though LOL
hahaha, yeah…it kinda comes with the territory. pretty cool/vintage looking harley walker!
I’m dying to ride, the only two-wheeled vehicle that’s currently rideable is my motocross bike (not road legal lol)
i will be picking up an old bultaco from my uncle pete, him and my dad bought it new when they were teenagers. its in pretty good shape. im pretty stoked on it

the last time i saw you on a two wheeled motorized vehicle was at brians dads house when you were hammer drunk and we were doing burnouts on his dirtbike in the barn

ugh i wish i had the big twin of '59…(pan)
No progress on the Ironhead yet, my atv and boat decided to take a shit at the same time so my extra funds have been split too many ways to really accomplish anything. I did get it running now, but I have to adjust the carb cause it wont idle w/o the enrichment lever engaged, I’ve never done any carb tuning before, so that will be a learning experience for me.
what kind of carb?
ive got a mikuni round slide vm-36 on my ironhead and it is super reliable and easy to tune.
basically just an idle adj screw and a fuel enrichment screw
sounds like it just needs broken down and cleaned thoroughly
Fuck old bikes. Fuck carbs. Fuck electrical nightmares.
bitter old man
I recently stumbled over a for sale ad for the complete charging setup for $40 on XS650.com
who bought your bike?
Some chooch in VA.
Cool thread.
i have an 82 kawi kz750 i raked and stretched 20 inches, i’d love to ride with similar era bikes instead of rockets http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=10150627611275565&set=t.736145056&type=3&theater
that’s fuckin tits man.
That stretched kz750 is definitely unique
ive seen that drop seat on elmwood across from H.O.D.
I like that. Very nice sir.
It’s an S&S super E carb. I didnt do any of the jetting or setup on it, so I don’t know that it’s even correct to start with or what the deal is. The motor was fully rebuilt, and this carb was previously on the bike before the rebuild, and I doubt it was setup correctly when put back on.
i would read up on it and try your best to tune it but ive heard those are a real pain in the dick carb to deal with… (esp when trying to start the bike)
