Who's rocking a vintage motorcycle?

Wtf?

I am trying to figure out if this is my old bike???

this is my 1955 panhead that ive been working on pretty much non-stop for the past two weeks with CTN

Not yet, I don’t think, but it is cool…

lol i love the kick start!!! of course you would!

of course i would what?

I love the fat tire look. Great job.

I may be mistaken, but isnt that a BMX bike pedal?

You’re mistaken.

Fuck yes

no its not but i do plan on using some bmx pedals for high mid footrests…you may notice my skateboard wheel shift knob though

My bike is almost done, snapped a few pics, a couple are a few days old so may look different.

Tank is dented in, outlined for my knees and was painted with bed-liner paint for this season. Shortened SS brake lines for the 750cc SS brake conversion as well. Still waiting on a few parts, should be out riding this weekend hopefully.

Also, the exhaust is pretty temporary. Overall I just wanted a “quick” build so I can get it out riding this season. Over winter I’ll be pulling the motor, having a complete wiring harness made by Luke L and free up anything thats not needed. Custom exhaust, change a few things, blah blah blah.

Huge thank you to Nick, Checko and Newman! Couldn’t have done it without these chooches.

you should add a “before” picture…bike came out sweet man, not bad for a few full days worth of work!

I rode my 72 Kawasaki F7 almost everyday in the winter and last month or so something seized up. I think it’s in the tranny. Hopefully I get time to tear it down before it snows again!

I had something similar happen once…part of the clutch basket on my 1973 Suzuki TS100 enduro bike sheared off and jammed up the the gears and I couldn’t move the kickstart. Was greatful that’s all it was once I cracked open the clutch cover.

that’s exactly what’s going on with mine. hopefully it’s an easy fix

Bump, any other vintage motorcyles in the area?

put mine on the road at lunch…just gotta replace the stator.

I really need to fix the two in my garage this season before its too late

I’m sorry dude! I wanna help out I’m just super busy. If my bike’s electrical wasn’t still fighting me I’d be in good shape but this thing is driving me insane.
