I have had 3 boxes replaced in the same room in my house on the last 2 or so years. the correct box is less than 6 months old. the box is now freezing. the little blue light blinks when I change the channel or do anything on the remote but the boxes doesnt respond. I have to wait a minute or so. Anything I can do to fix this on my own? Im sick of losing all my shows and having to call CS and get a new box and wait for shipping and then call CS back to set it up.

Time werner has been screwing with their boxes lately too. A software update they shot out a few months back dissabled the aux input on the box so now i have to buy a different TV( have an old ass 32") if I want to watch a DVD upstairs. I called and their excuse was that the aux input was killing the boxes(mine lasted 3 years before they shot out the update so I call BS. Maybe direct TV is doing something simmilar.
I had one go down. They replaced it within a couple days. No issues here.
