if you want to get extremely technical the ds has outsold all of the next generation consoles this is also including 360,ps3, wii, and psp

i think what you’re not realizing about comparing new nintendo with microsoft & Sony is that it has a wider audience…expically the next gen consoles.
most young kids…5+ will get DS’s or DS lites over PSP & Wii’s over 360’s & PS3’s due to price & game selection.
my wifes sister has 4 kids & (1, twin6 & 10) the twin boys wanted PSP’s & the 10yr old girl wanted a DSlite for xmas.
i told her PSPs are a little much for a 6yr old.
they all ended up getting DSlites…due to pricing & age oriented game selection.
& the same goes for consoles…
I bet most parents maybe 75-85% will get their kids a Wii over the other to due to the price & games.
nintendo has a broader market…tageting a wider audience = more sales.
plus a cheaper price make people decison a lot easier.
i bet if you could pinpoint a certian niche like 25-35yr old males…i bet xbox & PS outsell nintendo. & the only reason they are in the running is due to price & the wii’s new intriguing interactive features
for adults i think its a decision on xbox or PS & then if you have an extra 250-300 you say …yeah i’ll pick up a Wii too so i can try it out.
I personally like my computer better then all of those.
If I don’t think the graphics are good enough? Upgrade my video card.
If I don’t like the controls? Buy something different, steering wheel or many other choices.
Not a big enough screen for group play with the controllers? Hook it up to the TV!
Most of the new games come out on PC anyways.

I played Resistance for PS3 and Gears of War for Xbox. both kick ass games.
Ill probably buy the Xbox 360. PS3 isnt worth the price.

thinkin of gettin one for the basement but parents got a retarded 42" 480i/480P plasma EDTV. if the wii isnt HD then it should look pretty good on the tv in the basement

… the last thing Nintendo made that i liked was N64, and obviously NES & SNES is a classic, but Gamecube + Wii don’t got shit on ANYTHING Sony or Microsoft has released. Especially gamecube, what a garbage ass console.

hmmm… you can’t find a Wii anywhere yet there are PS3’s everywhere. I am not saying the Wii is greater in technology then the PS3 or the 360 but they definitely hit the right price point and had the games to release the system.
Hell Wii is so sold out you can’t even find accessories!
