ooo, looks like it will hit

you might be able to take it off and have it on the other side of the steering column after it is in there… take a pic from directly behind the turbo to see how far it sticks out

the sheild under the turbine you dont need to worry about
it might make it but i doubt it, … is that an s15 blacktop?

hey the bottom heat sheild must be removed and the pipe running from the exhuast to the emissions thing must bne removed also you can crip in really close and cut the rest off or get a plug that has the same threads

so times its less of a hassle to just disconnect the steering column at the rack… it takes 15 minutes (approx) and may save you some hassle. But I have done it both ways connected and disconnected.

thanks guys i’ll cut the eg pipe and hoseclamp a hose and re-route it around elsewhere…

sorry this has been asked a billion times but GL4 is safe on nissan trannies and GL5 kills it, is this correct ?

I don’t know if GL5 fluids with kill the tranny but a GL4 rating is recommended. I’ve read some horror stories on FA about guys running various tranny oils and messing up there trannies. Just to be safe get your self some MT90, its strictly a GL4 rating.

chose your patch tube wisely, I did this and it gets too hot for rubber (most rubber anyway)

you mean bend it ? as S13gg said rubber might not be a good idea

in the top right corner of that pic I see a coolant heater core line, these should be attached to the valvehead via a plate, remove that before you drop the motor all the way in, It will help when trying to route those lines to our LHD cars.

on my car we removed that EGR line you described and plugged it with a nickel $0.05
