Alright well after looking over a lot of different hotel options, we’ve decided to stay downtown in the city.
After going over the options again, it looks like the Hyatt is going to be the place to stay. I’ll leave the poll and other options here if anyone else really wants to stay somewhere else. But the Hyatt’s price is good, the parking situation is the best and it’s got more rooms than the others.
There are 3 options available to people - all with different price ranges - that are on 3 corners of an intersection close to the city center. This intersection has some crazy dome thing right over the top of it that looks like this:
Since all 3 hotels connect at this center point, it makes for the perfect landmark / meeting place for everyone no matter which hotel option you choose. (See Google Earth image below for another view of the dome)
Now these prices below go down considerably once you start splitting the cost between 2 or 4 people - so check with your friends and see what they want to do.
All of these hotels are 26 minutes from the raceway where the event will be held.
Parking is $18 per day, but if you don’t plan on having your car there the whole day they charge you by the hour instead. The parking is in a ramp below the hotel. Valet also available.
Is there any cheaper option? And is there added charges for more people in one room, or do we get to split $99 among 4 people? I know 100% I could not swing $99 a night myself.

Hotels outside the city are about $80 a night, unless you want to stay somewhere really low end. That makes the Hyatt at $99 look the an amazing deal.
Find room mates. There are always added charges for more people, so you just don’t tell the hotel. You can split a regular room 4 ways if you’re really on a budget and it will cost you $50 for the weekend at the Hyatt.
The other hotels downtown don’t seem to be as close to everything as the Hyatt, and don’t have self parking in their own secure garage.
booked 2 bed room at Embassy Suites…after comparing all the prices this one works out the best, as it also has a fold out bed in the other room so its really 3 beds, fyi

Valet only. Valet is in a private secure garage below the building.
not that I would want my car parked for me but I can set the car to shut down if the RPM’s exced a certain amount. engauge revlimiter at 4K disingauge at 0rpm.
justin if you want to split a room i could work that price.
That building with the pink and blue paint on top is a mall (with a food court for those who want to watch their $$) and is connected to the walkway / dome that merges all the hotels
The white building on the upper-left corner of the picture is the Capitol building… Newman?
